THE WORLD SPIRIT - Part 1:

A Seven-Level World View

All Levels

Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz has set the verse: "For all to spring from nothing, a oneness suffices."

The model or image of the universe as the 7th level of the world view closes the circle of this subject "The World Spirit: A Seven-Level World View". The verse set by Leibniz leads over to the binary code as the 1st level. Not only each level contains circle but also the levels by themselves. Therefore the seven levels are holistic: The "Voyage through the Universe" ends with the beginning. The voyage is consequently endless.

The circle contains of the following elements:

  1. Level: The binary code
    Circle:   Nothing, one, nothing.
Origin:   The origin of the universe is based on the binary code. ("For all to spring from nothing, a oneness suffices.")
Goal:    Generation of characters containing only nothing and one.
  2. Level: A scientific study
Circle:   General feedback processes. (The concrete content depends on the specific context.)
Origin:   Characters become words, words become sentences, sentences become information, ... .
Goal:    Contribution to gain knowledge to solve specific problems.
  3. Level: A science
Circle:   Theory, practice, theory. (The concrete content depends on the specific context.)
Origin:   The sum of scientific studies and their relations among each other.
Goal:    Contribution to gain knowledge to solve complex problems of general interest.
  4. Level: The system of science
Circle:   Reasoning, theory, practice, lifeworld, reasoning.
Origin:   The sum of sciences and their relations among each other.
Goal:    Contribution to gain knowledge to create a worth living world.
  5. Level: The history course
Circle:   Birth, sin, knowledge, death, rebirth.
Origin:   Gaining knowledge as compensation for the expulsion from paradise.
Goal:    The history course as a possible world view of reflecting humans.
  6. Level: The world spirit
Circle:   Universe, sun, earth, lifeworld, reasoning, image of the universe.
Origin:   The world spirit as a metaphor or model of the history course.
Goal:    Sun, earth, civilization and reflecting humans as a part of the universe.
  7. Level: The universe
    Circle:   Matter/energy, reproduction, self-reference, interaction, finiteness, matter/energy.
Origin:   Thoughts of reflecting humans who are part of the history course.
Goal:    "For all to spring from nothing, a oneness suffices."

As a possible world view the prism with its spectral line should be interpreted as metaphor for different perspectives of human beings as limited spirits. We perceive only the image of the real world because we are systematically cut from the view of a god. The metaphor should clarify that we only perceive the spectral line while we do not see the underlying white light. This white light equals an endless spirit which means a hidden power. Religions interpret this hidden power in different ways as we see different colours of the white light with the help of a prism.
